Here at Unyoked, we’re all about the little things: the walk to the cabin to help frame your mind; grinding your coffee by hand to turn a rushed moment into a ritual; carefully building a kindling tipi to start your woodburner.
We obsess over these little things because we reckon, quite often, they become the big things that people remember. If you like to eat (and face it, who doesn’t) the ritual of preparing a meal can be a cathartic almost meditative experience, that is… unless you don’t have the right equipment.

Katto
For Josh Roberts, cooking isn’t just about making a meal, it’s a meditative, restorative practice. After being diagnosed with a Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) in 2016, Josh Roberts tried everything he could think of to improve his mental health. “I stopped drinking and started running. I began yoga, and downloaded the apps and read all the books. I gave up caffeine and took-up therapy. But to no avail.
Eventually I found cooking. It didn't seem to matter if I was reading a cookbook, shopping for obscure ingredients or quietly podding peas: time spent cooking (or thinking about cooking) was time that I wasn't worrying.”
As Josh delved deeper into his new hobby he saw an opportunity.
“I wanted kitchenware which looked great, oozed character and had strong sustainability credentials. None of which seemed to exist. And so Katto was born.” Katto’s mission is to create beautiful knives and cooking utensils that stand the test of time. We’ve teamed up with the Katto team to design a British-made Japanese style knife set with custom Elm handles, engraved with the Unyoked logo, along with a pair of Katto scissors. These products are not just tools; they are statements of pride and craftsmanship.
Goldfinger
Goldfinger celebrates the wealth of nature we have on our doorstep by transforming felled trees that would otherwise be chipped and burned into bespoke furniture and handcrafted homeware.
