Hey friends,
With all the confusion, uncertainty and daily pressers piling up on us, we thought it was a good time to let you know what’s happening at Unyoked. Whether you have a booking with us or are planning to get unyoked in the future - we all need the outdoors now more than ever and we want to keep making this a smooth and chilled experience for you all
Let’s just say that as an outdoors company, continued lockdowns are far from an ideal situation. We’re in the business of helping people get away from their desks and break out of their routine, so we can totally relate to the frustration and anxiety you’re feeling. We would love nothing more than to get back out to nature ourselves and have each of you experience these same benefits of time spent in wild, green spaces, like reducing stress and gaining perspective.
The way we’ve done things from the start has always been to put our community first, whether it’s a last-minute reschedule or finding you new locations at short notice. This situation we find ourselves in is no different. So if you’re wondering about when you can next go wandering, or are worried about your upcoming stay in these unpredictable times, here’s what you need to know:
I have an existing booking affected by new lockdown measures in my state.
We'll be getting in touch with you in the next 48 hours to personally shepherd your wayward booking to its new home and make sure you still have some time to get those scientifically proven benefits of nature when you need them most.
You'll be rescheduled to a new date and failing that, we’ve got a gift prescription with your name on it so you can book back in at a time that suits you. These are valid for up to 3 years at any of our cabin locations.
Don’t worry about emailing us, we’ve got you covered. Just keep an eye on your inbox (including spam/junk, we sometimes end up there) and texts.
I have a booking in the future that might be affected.
We get it; it’s hard to know what is going to happen between one day to the next at the moment. If you’ve got a booking that’s in a few weeks or months and isn’t currently affected, sit tight. As per the above, if your booking falls under new restrictions, we’ll contact you to arrange a reschedule.
As we are a small team currently helping lots of existing guests affected by lockdowns, it would be super helpful if you hold off trying to change future bookings until government guidelines confirm you are affected. We really do appreciate your understanding with this.
Give me peace of mind. What is your COVID-19 lockdown policy?
We all need time in nature, but in these times more than most, so:
1. We'll always try and reschedule you directly.
2. You can choose a new date and let us know. 3. Failing this, we'll give you a Wilderness Prescription so you can book back in at a time that works for you. Be sure to join Unplanned so you’re in the know about last-minute access to cabins and new locations.
4. We'll reach back out to you once restrictions are lifted to help you get some time off the grid back in the calendar if you haven't already.
PS. For those that have had trouble finding spots before, we have a bunch of new cabins that have just launched across all states with some new locations on the way, so don't worry, there's ample opportunity to get Unyoked!

We appreciate that this cycle of restrictions and lockdowns may be in place for a few more months while we work together as a community to make sure everyone is safe and able to get vaccinated if they can. But we know that an end is in sight and when we get there, it’s going to be all rolling hills, fresh air, campfires and skies full of stars.
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder and we don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to throw our arms around some huge trees in the middle of bloody nowhere.
